Dog Thunder ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Dog Thunder mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").

Information We Collect

Dog Thunder is designed with privacy in mind. We only collect minimal information necessary for the app to function:

• Location Data: To provide you with weather alerts relevant to your area, we need your ZIP code. Your ZIP code is coarse information, and is stored in the app and in our backend server.
• Device Information: We generate a random device ID that we store with your ZIP code in our backend. Our backend will send a push notifcation through Apple's background push notification service according to your preferences, so the app can do a background forecast update and provide you with any relevant weather alerts.
• Email Address: If you opt for email notifications, we pass your email address to our sending service temporarily to send you your email, but neither we nor the sending service store your email address longer than needed to send a message.
• Phone Number: We pass your phone number to the SMS service only to send you an alert, but neither we nor the sending service store your phone number longer than needed to send a message.

How We Use Your Information

We collect and store a random device ID for your device, so we can match your preferences and deliver the service. We also store your zip code and your preferences for storm alerts - whether you want alerted for storms, or storms and heavy rain. We do not collect anything that would qualify as personal information, and we use the collected items solely to:

• Provide accurate, location-based weather alerts
• Send you notifications about approaching storms

Data Storage and Protection

Dog Thunder respects your privacy and never collects or stores any personally identifiable information. You do not need to make an account or provide anything other than your ZIP code to use the basic service. We do not share your information with any third parties, unless you opt in to receive SMS or email alerts, in which case we pass your phone number or email address to our sending service temporarily, solely for the purpose of send you an alert. Your email address or phone number are never stored.
